From Thomas’ statement: “Language –– both spoken and written –– is always susceptible to spin, manipulation, obfuscation, and misinterpretation. Communication’s inherent vulnerability has long formed the core of my conceptual inquiry. For my graduate thesis project, I will present a selection of new experimental works that will expand upon four facets of my practice: Artists’ books, UNBOUND sculptures, text-based wall sculptures, and performative writings made with a ten-foot-pole.”
