BIO 

I am originally from Boulder, Colorado. I went to the University of Colorado for my BFA and I received my MFA from SCAD in Design Management. I run my own freelance company, rbartworks and most of my clients work in healthcare. I teach at Belmont University in Nashville, Tn. as an adjunct. My work focuses on using design thinking to come up with novel solutions to practical problems. I am inspired by the great artists before me and the power of new technology and resources. I also like to work with underserved and marginalized communities.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY & MENTORSHIP

From my former teaching experiences, I have developed a teaching skill set that includes, an extensive body of knowledge in graphic and interaction design, design thinking, and social media management. I teach through presentations, demonstrations, writing, video, and online activities. These exercises are intended to inspire and expand creative processes, critical thinking, and varied applications to art and design. My ultimate goal is to bring knowledge and excitement to students so that the students’ feel inspired and prepared to attain their educational goals.
