Mike Calway-Fagen / Studio Visits

Last week five of our MFA candidates, focusing in a variety of disciplines, were lucky enough to meet with visiting artist, Mike Calway-Fagen. Calway-Fagen is a visual artist, writer, and curator based in the Midwest where he teaches at the University of Indiana, Bloomington. The mediums of his work vary from mixed-media paintings, video, photography, sculpture, and installations.

He received a BFA from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and an MFA from the University of California San Diego. Mike has attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, been a Fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center, attended the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art and completed a public sculpture “Dyramid” at Franconia Sculpture Park during the summer of 2014.
