OUTPUT is an internationally renown platform based in Amsterdam for design and architecture students. Every year they organize one of the largest design competitions worldwide, this being their 15th edition. Out of about 1000 students that applied 60 were chosen, one of which was Minneapolis of College and Art and Design MFA candidate Shannon McCarthy. Her work addresses a variety of current issues ranging from social to environmental. The piece chosen by OUTPUT is entitled EXXOFF. This work, specifically aims to comment on the oil industry, shedding light on its repercussions.
