Northern Spark 2015

July 8, 2015

All night, wonder, wander, illuminate, together.

When the sun sets at 9:00 p.m. and the church bells ring, the city awakes to a new sense of possibility. For eight hours and twenty-six minutes the city surprises you: friendly crowds, ambitious art projects, an unexpected path through the urban landscape, the magic of sunrise after a night of amazing experiences.

The MFA program had a great time at Northern Spark this year! Nick Rivers was on MCAD’s main campus with his project Something to Hold Onto, until the Wind Carries Us Away and Preston Drum created characters from Alice and Wonderland for mini golf on MCAD’s east lawn. Lastly, Julie Benda in partnership with Amanda Lovelee was at the Mill City Museum train shed with their project Minnesota Modesty: We Are Great!
