During the Made @ MCAD exhibition, Mia Lopez from the Walker Art Center was kind enough to do a walk-through critique of the accepted works. A group of both undergraduate and graduate students were able to tag along with her as she moved through MCAD’s Main Gallery.

Mia Lopez is the Curatorial Fellow for Visual Arts at the Walker Art Center. She has recently collaborated on the Walker Art Center exhibitions Art at the Center: 75 Years of Walker Collections and International Pop. Mia was a 2012 Smithsonian Latino Museum Studies Program fellow and was formerly Programming Coordinator at the Museo Alameda in San Antonio. She has interned and worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Contemporary Art Museum in Houston, the Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum, and the Rice Gallery.
