Join us in congratulating Roshan Ganu ’20 on completing her Thesis Review!

From Ganu’s statement: “The lines between materiality, images and motion are fainter than ever in today’s sociological landscape. The screen age has transported materiality from a tactile experience to a visual or even an immersive one. As a storyteller, illustrator and traveler, I use this function of materiality, our senses, motion and the 3D space to explore sentiments around the everyday. What emerges is an immersive storytelling experience which poses questions like “how do we build senses of home around us?” and “in foreign spaces, what exactly do we do to appropriate a new space?” By isolating seemingly mundane experiences, my work encourages viewers to ‘see’ depth in everyday occurrences.”
