Visiting Artist / Juana Berrío

This October, Juana Berrío visited the MFA studios. Berrío is an independent curator and writer from Bogotá, Colombia, now based in San Francisco. She has worked for the New Museum in New York, The Walker Art Center here in Minneapolis, and was the co-founder and director of Kiria Koula, a contemporary art gallery and bookstore in The Mission District of San Francisco.

Berrío visited with MFA students to engage in conversations about her work and their current practices. MFA 2nd year filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist Zoe Cinel and MFA 1st year photographer Grace Olson welcomed Berrío into their studios.

Thanks for visiting, Juana!
