Second year filmmaker Sihai Zhu is using her skills to lend a helping hand. This summer, she held an internship with Cheerful Givers, an organization that helps low-income children receive a birthday present who may not otherwise be able to afford one. She traveled all around Minnesota for the work.

From MCAD’s student profile on Zhu: “I made videos for them. I made a commercial and another longer video that explained the organization a little more in depth… One of the places that I went to was a retirement home. Even though some of the people there were disabled, they still wanted to help pack the bags which made me feel really good and impressed because during the process of packing the bags you know you’re doing something really good and making little children happy which made me happy.”

Way to go, Sihai!
