David was a visiting critic for the 2013/14 McKnight fellows, one of whom is Joe Sinness (MFA alum).

David also met with two MFA students, Adam Hamilton and Katie Van Zante.

Info about David:
Humphrey is a painter and installation artist who has shown nationally and internationally. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2002 and the Rome Prize in 2008, among other awards. An anthology of his art writing, Blind Handshake, was published by Periscope Publishing in 2010. Mr. Humphrey is is represented by the Fredericks Freiser Gallery, New York, and was appointed critic in painting/printmaking at Yale University in 2007.
