Casey Opstad ’11 / General Assembly
This winter, MCAD MFA painting alum Casey Opstad, ’11, completed an Artist Residency at General Assembly. Since graduating from MCAD, he has been the artist-in-residence at several companies, including GA, Bitly, and Quotidian Ventures. His work with GA spans from Boston to L.A., in their Little Tokyo location.
GA is a global community with a mission to end the skills gap. Their new Boston Campus is now covered in Opstad’s stunning, large-scale black and white chalk works.
“GA’s chalk art is one way we’ve created a positive environment that inspires students, instructors, and staff while also honoring our communities’ powerful roots,” writes GA senior copywriter Laura Leebove. If you are in Boston or Los Angeles, head on over and check them out!
