Second-year student Anna Biedenbender completed an artist residency in Door County, Wisconsin at Whitefish Dunes State Park earlier this summer. She was hosted by well-known area artist, Hemke Timm and his wife Elke, during her time in Door County and is also pictured with Whitefish Dunes’ Residency Director and Natural Resource Educator, Carolyn Rock.

Having had no previous figurative artists, Anna was the first to focus fully on the many visitors that came to the park, as well as the surrounding Door County areas. Anna will be giving a piece to the park for their permanent collection by next summer.
