Mixed media and sculpture alum Sarah Faye McPherson ’16, was asked to design an installation for the lobby and retail space of the Minneapolis Institute of Art, to be unveiled in tandem with the opening of their exhibit, “Seeing Nature: Landscape Masterworks from the Paul G. Allen Family Collection”

As an interdisciplinary artist, McPherson’s work spans many forms of digital and traditional media, including of 3D, drawing, interactive spaces, sculpture, video, and performance. Her multi-faceted approach combining natural textures and geometric forms makes her work a perfect fit for the Mia, one of Minneapolis’ premier cultural institutions, which showcases centuries of work from a variety of artists around the world.
